What is Blizzard thinking with this? I don't understand how it would be helpful at all. I'd start with my hunter and shammy on getting the items, but my other classes would have a very low chance of ever getting the heirlooms they would need thanks to people progressing ahead of them and nobody being willing to go when those toons are ready! Those are a lot of heirlooms and by the time I get around to getting on, say, my mage to get her version of the heirloom weapon, finding a pug who is actually doing that raid will be rather impossible, as most everyone will be going off and doing the level 100 stuff. I do NOT want to be required to raid on toons that I don't gear up to raid, but rather play just for the experience of going through different zones/quests then I did on my other classes. I have two mains, a hunter and a shaman, then I also have a mage, lock, priest, and druid, I will level them all like I do each expansion. Unless they offer another way to get these heirloom weapons, say by purchasing them like we have before, I'm really unhappy about this. I can see many pugs kicking her because she is not a high enough level.Īdd to that it is really hard to find a pug that will go all the way to the final boss, most only want to clear trash so that they can go in later with guildies and go after the main bosses, at least that is how it is on my server for the pugs I've tried. I wouldn't raid to get an heirloom without my friend, but she doesn't raid normally so her gear levels are very low compared to mine.

I hate pugs, because there is almost no guarantee who you will be with and being the person coming in, they always feel free to kick people.
My brother is sometimes on and he has toons in my guild, but because of his work, he and I are almost never on at the same time, I'm having to go to bed when he is waking up to go to work! My other two guild mates are guys with families who do not have time to dedicate to play the game with any consistency. My guild is a guild of two people, my best friend and I, who are on all the time. Regardless of playstyle, social life in the game, and time a player has on hand at any time of day in any week, any month, any year. I don't exactly have buddy buddies to group up with for any sort of flex raiding or full on 10 or 25man raids so I don't have the luxury of gathering friends to do it and I don't like having to sit around a city asking if anyones interested in forming a group or looking for more of whatever class and role I happen to be since I'm much happier when I'm online out in the wilderness, not listening to people flipping eachother off in trade chat. heirlooms/ĭissapointed to see its not going to drop from LFR (at the moment anyways, it still could change) as I don't raid with people from the same server that I'm currently on. Certainly, however, many people will be upset that this isn't dropping from LFR. They only appear to drop from from Garrosh himself, but an heirloom that takes you all the way to the next expansion's max level and perhaps beyond has to be an improvement on the Dragon Soul "hey, replace your epic drop off the last boss with a green" syndrome. It's possible that these are the brand new rewards that Blizzard were hinting at dropping from Flex and above but not from LFR. What's more, these items appear, from the dungeon journal at least, to drop from heroic mode raids, as well as normal mode and flexible raiding, but not from LFR.
This is rather interesting, given that we didn't actually know (and still may not know) that the next expansion would take us to level 100 as opposed to level 95, for example. You'll note they have had something of a color change and are now L90-100 heirlooms.
